Ep. 8 - Expectations: When to Drop Them, When to Keep Them
Oct 02, 2020 Episode 8
Kent & Anna Thalman

Have you ever struggled with family members or cast/crew not living up to your expectations?

What is the purpose of having expectations of someone? What does it mean to have an expectation, and how are your expectations of others serving you? Them?

In this episode we explain how releasing others from our expectations can actually liberate us, in a process called "throwing away the manual." We also explore alternatives to "expectations" and how we can help others without making ourselves emotionally dependent upon their performance/actions.

If you're wanting to take greater ownership over your family life and film career, check out the Film and Family program: www.invisiblemansion.com/filmandfamily
